Get Pregnant with Herbs for Irregular Periods
It is very difficult to get pregnant with Irregular Periods
What is an Irregular Period?
Common Menstrual Cycle Problems
Late Menstrual Cycle:
Women describe their cycle as being ‘late’ when there are more days between periods than is normal for them.
It is perfectly normal to have between 24 and 34 days from one period to the next but it should be the same number of days for each woman.
Causes: pregnancy, stress, cyst on the ovaries, PCOS, traveling
If a your period usually comes on every 29 days and suddenly you start seeing menstrual blood on cycle day 24 this would be an ‘early menstruation’. You will have more frequent menstrual periods.
Causes: miscarriage, per-menopausal, stress
Irregular Menstrual Cycle:
When there are 24 days from one period to the next one month and then the next month there are say 34 days from one period to the next. You can’t anticipate when they will come.
Causes: stress, cysts, irregular eating patterns or hormone imbalances.
Common Problems with the Menstrual Flow
Heavy menstrual period:
If you have to change your tampon or menstrual pad more than every 2 hours or if the blood does not stay on the pad then it would be considered a heavy menstrual flow.
Cause: fibroids, stress, illness such as the flu
Long Menstrual Period:
A normal period should be between 3 to 7 days long. If your period goes on longer than this it would be considered to be a “long menstrual period”.
Causes: PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome), hormones out of balance, thyroid problem. Anemia is a common concern when women have long periods.
Light Menstrual Period:
If you only needs to change your pad or tampon a couple of times a day then that would be a ‘light period”.
Causes: perimenopause, blood deficiency or anemia, poor diet, stress
Spotting between periods:
Sometimes women will spot when the fertilized egg is implanting into the wall of the uterus. This usually happens between 5 and 10 days after ovulation.
Causes: Women can also spot between periods when their progesterone is too low after ovulation.
